Mission Host

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how TecGuru, doing business as Mission Host (“Mission Host,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our websites (missionhost.org and tecguru.co), our client portal, and our products and services, including VPS and managed hosting, WordPress hosting, the AI website builder, and AI Suite (collectively, the “Services”).

This policy applies to AI Suite whether you access it through our website, the client portal, or a mobile or desktop app distributed through an app store. If you are using AI Suite as a member of an organization or “workspace,” please also read the AI Suite section below, which describes controls your organization administrator may have over your account and conversations.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide directly

  • Contact and waitlist forms: name, email address, the service you're asking about, and the message or free-text content you submit.
  • Hosting and WordPress orders: name, email address, an SSH public key (if you choose to save one to your account), a login username for your server, an optional hostname, and, for WordPress orders, a domain name.
  • AI website builder: the free-text description or “prompt” you write describing the site you want built. Don't include personal or sensitive information in this prompt beyond what you want reflected in the generated site.
  • AI Suite orders and account setup: name, email address, number of seats, and any promo code you enter.
  • Client portal login: your email address. Portal login is passwordless — we send a one-time link or code to your email rather than storing a password.
  • AI Suite conversations: the messages you send, and any files or images you upload or that are generated in a conversation (supported types currently include common image formats and documents such as PDF, Word, Excel, text, and CSV files).

1.2 Information collected automatically

  • IP address and standard request data: our infrastructure (including Cloudflare, which sits in front of our websites) processes IP addresses and standard web request metadata to serve traffic and prevent abuse. The AI website builder's prompt intake also uses your IP address specifically to rate-limit abusive use.
  • Bot protection: the AI website builder's prompt form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a CAPTCHA-style challenge, to distinguish humans from automated abuse before we accept a prompt.
  • We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or similar third-party tracking scripts on our websites, and we don't use tracking cookies for login — see Cookies & Local Storage below.

1.3 Information generated through your use of the Services

  • Session credentials: when you log in, we issue a session token that your browser stores locally (see Cookies & Local Storage) to keep you signed in.
  • SSH keys and server credentials: SSH public keys you save to your account, and, for VPS services, the login password and remote console (VNC) access details needed to manage your server through the portal.
  • AI Suite usage data: which AI model answered a message, token counts, and associated usage/spend figures, used for billing, budgeting, and account limits.

2. AI Suite: How Your Conversations Are Handled

AI Suite is a multi-provider AI chat product. Depending on the model you or your organization selects, your messages (and any attached files or images) are sent to one or more of the following third-party AI providers to generate a response: Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (GPT/ChatGPT), Google (Gemini), xAI (Grok), and Perplexity. Each provider processes that content under its own privacy policy and terms; we don't control, and this policy doesn't cover, how those providers independently use data outside of generating the response we request on your behalf. We don't sell your conversation content, and we don't use it to train our own models.

Retention. Conversation content is stored so you can return to your chat history. If you access AI Suite through an organization, that organization's administrator can set a retention period for conversations in that workspace. You can delete any of your own conversations at any time from the chat interface; deletion is permanent. If you're removed from an organization's workspace, your conversations are kept for the remainder of that workspace's retention window before being deleted.

If you use AI Suite through an organization, your organization administrator controls certain settings that affect your account and privacy within that workspace:

  • Usage metadata: admins can always see an audit log of chat metadata — such as the date, which model was used, the conversation title, and message counts — but not the content of your messages, through that log alone.
  • “View as” conversation access: some workspaces enable a setting (off by default) that lets an admin open a read-only view of a member's conversation history. Each such session is limited to 30 minutes and shown to the admin with a visible countdown. If your organization has this setting enabled, your organization's admins may be able to read the content of your conversations for oversight or support purposes.
  • Admin-configured instructions: an admin can attach standing instructions to your account that are automatically included with the messages you send to the AI. These instructions are set by your organization, not by you, and are not shown to you within the product. Your organization is responsible for the content of any instructions it configures.
  • Budgets and usage: admins and Mission Host staff can see aggregate and per-member usage (token counts, spend, and model usage) for billing and account-management purposes.

If your AI Suite access was set up by an organization (for example, an employer or another organization administering the workspace on your behalf), that organization is a separate controller of certain settings described above, and questions about those settings should also be directed to that organization.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Services you request, including provisioning and managing hosting, domains, and AI Suite accounts;
  • Process orders and subscriptions, including through our payment processor, Stripe;
  • Authenticate you and secure your account;
  • Respond to support requests and communicate with you about your account or orders;
  • Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security issues (including rate-limiting anonymous use of the AI website builder);
  • Meter and bill usage-based products, such as AI Suite seats and model usage;
  • Improve and maintain the reliability of our Services.

4. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. When you check out, you are redirected to a Stripe-hosted payment page — we do not collect or store your full card number on our servers. We retain a reference to your Stripe customer record to manage your subscription, invoices, and upgrades. Stripe's handling of your payment information is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We do not use cookies to keep you logged in. Instead, when you sign in to the client portal or AI Suite, a session token is stored in your browser's local storage and sent with each request to identify your session; it is not shared across devices and clears if you clear your browser's site data. The AI website builder's prompt form loads Cloudflare Turnstile, a bot-detection script, only on that page. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers.

6. How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to provide the Services:

  • AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI, Perplexity) — to generate responses to your AI Suite messages, as described in Section 2;
  • Stripe — to process payments and manage subscriptions;
  • Cloudflare — as our content delivery/network security provider in front of our websites, and for bot detection on the AI website builder;
  • Your organization administrator — if you use AI Suite as part of an organization, to the extent described in Section 2;
  • as required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Mission Host, our users, or others; and
  • in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

We do not sell your personal information.

7. Support and Administrative Access

Mission Host staff with administrative access to the client portal can, for support and account-management purposes, access account and service records and can start an impersonated session to view the portal as you would see it, in order to diagnose or resolve an issue. This is separate from and broader than AI Suite's organization-level “View as” feature described in Section 2, which is controlled by your organization, not Mission Host staff. Administrative access is restricted to authorized personnel and used only for legitimate support, security, and account-management purposes.

8. Data Retention

We retain account and service data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. AI Suite conversation retention is configurable by your organization as described in Section 2. Deleting a client record from our administrative systems removes that record from our database but does not, by itself, cancel an associated Stripe subscription or tear down an associated server — those are handled through their own cancellation/deprovisioning flows.

9. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and passwordless authentication — to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Rights and Choices

You can review and update your account email from your portal account settings. For any other request — including to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, delete your account, or ask a question about how your information is used — contact us at support@tecguru.co. We will verify your request and respond within a reasonable time, and in any event within the time required by applicable law. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or U.S. state privacy laws (for example, the right to know what information we hold about you, to request its correction or deletion, or to opt out of certain disclosures); we honor applicable rights requests submitted to the email above.

11. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction) through our public website sign-up flows. AI Suite, however, may be deployed by an organization (for example, a school or a parent-managed workspace) that creates and administers accounts on behalf of minors it is responsible for; in that case, the organization administering the workspace is responsible for obtaining any consent required and for configuring the account appropriately. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information outside of an organization-managed context, contact us at support@tecguru.co and we will delete it.

12. International Users

Our Services are operated from the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use of the Services after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
